Heyya everyone,
here's my second fansub: The White Beast! I already posted this awesome video some time ago and decided to sub it, and here it is. :D
I started translating and subbing with blind text shortly after posting the vidder and finished it today after a six hours session of subbing. MY HEAD HURTS. orz
Well, after I thought I had finally finished subbing, I noticed that VirtualDub (the program I use to encode subs) can't handre mp4s. So I had to download the video from freaking YT even though I have it directly from the source, NicoNicoDouga. The Nico vidder is some kind of weird mp4 that no other program but Aegisubs accepts. So yeah. And then I had to edit the b/w font stuff (yup, everything done manually and frame by frame. orz) because the YT version had an other frame ratio. THAT TOOK ME TWO FUCKING HOURS. SJKDAFJHDFFFF i should be doing homework now. uhm. well. /flips homework
Now guess how big the file was after that. 1.42 FUCKING GIGABYTE. WHAT IS THIS.
So I had to reencode the video AGAIN, lowering the quality even MORE, because else it would have taken 397 minutes to upload according to YT. orz Life hates me. ;A;
Well, the ranting aside, TRANSLATION NOTES! 8D
I used narumo's translation of Hatsune Miku's "The Beast." as a basis because my Japanese still fails at life. Aside from that, I used....
a) my own nearly non-existant Japanese skillz, b) Google Translater, c) Bablefish and d) a Japanese Japanese to English translator that is ttlly awesome, e) a Japanese to German dictionary, f) a Japanese to German online dictionary, g) a German to English dictionary or e) all of that?
If you gessed "e)", you were right! :D

Well. Notes.
"I placed a spell on myself and
turned from a order of knights
into a country"
I actually translated "from one order of knights", but while re-reading the subs for the 9001st time, I decided to use "a" instead of "one". The better translation would be "one", but whatever.
"felt like
I was able to do
everything alone"
I used "alone" instead of the more accurate "by myself" because, well, that's Prussia we're talkin' about here! XD
"I grasped, gnawed, grumbled and raged
Even so you picked me up and held me"
This is taken word for word from narumo's translation because I had no idea how to translate it.
"I was keeping a secret
I longed for deathless love"
The word narumo used, "eternal" love, shows the paralell to the next part ("What I got was eternity only"), but I used "deathless" because of the fact that nations don't die of old age but humans do, so yeah whatever.
"Clinging, holding, laughing, spinning"
"Love""
"Love" is not meant as in the word/ verb/ noun, but as a... uhm. Sorry, my English kinda fails after all that translating. xD; Uh. As a request/ order/ something like that. As in "please love!" or something. Don't ask me who or what or why. It sounded better when I hadn't translated it yet... orz

I'll pro'lly ask my Japanese teacher to check the translation next lesson, until that: I can't gurantee that the translation is accurate! I'm still a beginner at Japanese. D:
What else to add.
Fritz/Gil is the best pairing in the history of... of pairings. Why? Because they're both ttlly and completly awesome. I could talk about them for hours, but I'm getting hungry now so yeah. XD;; I just hope that I'll never have to write about Friedrich Willhelm I. (Fritz's father) like my mother had to while studying history at an university. If I ever have to do that, it will end in a "RAAAGEEEE FWI SUCKS BECAUSE OF THIS, THAT AND THAT SFKDLGDKSLFFF I HATE HIM /flips FWI" rage fest. He tried to kill Fritz and executed Katte (Fritz was either BFF with him or in love with him, depending on who you ask. My favorite is the "in love" theory. xD) and dkflgdkfffffff I'll really stop now before I die of rage.
I'll probably (that is a big "probably"!) do some 替え歌, aka parodies myself, I have some ideas for songs of Sanhoras Moira, Idoido, Märchen and Thanatos; all of them are sorta Fritz/Gil centric...ish.

@shadow1701ivy I sadly don't have the Japanese lyrics anymore because I've moved to Canada for a year and my old computer with the lyrics on it is in Germany.
