The video is not melodramatic (meaning sensationalized) - just because you didn't struggle with this issue doesn't mean there aren't people out there who have these kinds of issues. It is a real problem for many people.

It's truly phenomenal that reality and reason can be so conflicted with ancient religious texts in 2012. If only such quaint beliefs were confined to folks who swallow such myths ,but no. They must be inflicted on non-believers also and made the "law of the land"--no abortions under any circumstances;no same-sex marriages;no stem-cell research on about to be discarded embryos;and "creationism" must be taught in public schools. This madness must end.

I've had people cut ties with me when they realized I was an atheist. But this video makes it sound like a bad thing ;) Cutting off ties with delusional drug users is a damn good thing. And if you think for a moment I'm wasting my time musing about it, then you're either a drug user yourself or you're simply nuts.

I agree this video is a bit melodramatic. I figured being an atheist is sort of like telling your parents you're not taking drugs. Of course it's a good thing you're not deluding yourself with daily doses of pleasure-inducing dreams at the cost of one's reality. But there's no real reward for it - just your sanity.
