  • do you know how much that motor is ? ive looked everywhere cheapest block i found was 8,000

  • It belongs to a customer. The numbers match the original '65 Plymouth Race Hemi that it's going to.

  • Chrysler always meant for the hemi (Firepower and Desoto Firedome) as big V-8's with 2 four barrel cards right up untildiscontiuned in 1959 - 4 years later when the "new" hemi came out it had 2 fours & posted performane the new 392 Hemi with fuel injections etc has a hard time equalling.

  • @kenimisoncanada You have that right the 4.7 V8 M. B. designed is a piece of S***.

  • What a lot of people don't realize is that the original "Hemi" was a Chrysler development during World War 2; it grew up through the 1950's in the 392, cam back in the middle 60's as the 426 and now is offered in the 2012 Challenger and Charger once again as a 392. Sidelight was Mercedes when they owned Chrysler could never come up with a better engine. Long live the Mopar Hemi. Good old American Muscle.

  • Actually, a fully done hemi to original would be around 25,000. That's a fact.

  • I've heard that an original hemi, actually built in the 1960's, is worth 20 grand today.

  • @soccerwin55 ...to put things into perspective

  • Why the heck is there an ugly toyota in the background while this beautiful piece of AMERICAN history is running?

  • THIS IS THE REASON I GET UP IN THE MORNING

  • just curious, how do the original exhaust manifolds do in the horsepower/torque range in comparison to headers? Are the original manifolds very restrictive ( I know they weigh a ton, but weight aside )?

  • @GigaMinion XD so true.
