  • @sfmike20 hope is the best one can do. You should never underestimate human stupidity. :/ I really don't think much will happen within the coming 10 years.

  • The one thing that gives me hope in this clip is the fact that a peasants revolt was the outcome of post-plague feudalism. For those that have not read about the revolt, it seemed, to the aristocracy, to materialize from nowhere. Let's hope that something similar will occur here.

  • NOW!

  • I would like to restart chartism in my country, the trouble is chomsky is right,my society is atomised too!

  • Alex Carey...very intersting stuff from that guy. Follows along the same lines as Chomsky in his analysis of corporate propaganda and power correct?

  • The Australian Scholar he is referring to is Alex Carey. The book Chomsky sources is Taking the risk out of Democracy. Chomsky dedicated Manufacturing Consent to Carey and also wrote the introduction for his book. I believe Carey died in 1988 a few years before the release of Manufacturing Consent.

  • didnt the feds do oklamoma city

  • 7.20 - (On the Oklahoma bombing) "...at first they (media/gov) were looking for some kind of middle east connection, and they would have bombed anyone in sight given the opportunity..." And so they did. A good example of the efficacy of the analytical perspective.

  • To which Australian scholar is Chomksy referring? (30-60s)
