This is a campaign by TOMS shoes. Do some research and you will learn they DO send kids shoes. That's what they are based on, in fact. Buy a pair, and a child gets a pair as well.

Don't be so naive. They price it at that level to make the entry point more difficult and as a result don't come off as a cheap brand but a boutique with higher profit margins. "last time I checked" and when did you check?

Shipping shoes to organizations already located on the ground doing this exact work is relatively cheap. In fact by their own words this is exactly what they do: Google: Tracy Visits TOMS Giving Partners in Africa

    "TOMS Shoe Giving Partners"

Don't be a cog, learn and grow.

last time i checked, flying to africa to donate shoes wasn't very cheap so that's why they have to charge that amount

like erin said they give shoes: they sell styled shoes for consumers but deliver specially made extremely durable shoes fit for their terrain. they also hand size them in person so every child will get a pair of shoes.

Maybe if shoe companies LIKE YOURS weren't charging $60+ for a product that costs $5 to produce we could lower the worldwide market value of shoes and people all over could afford them. Instead you market yourselves as helpful by donating a $5 shoe for every $60-$90 I spend on a single pair.
