I just bought one off a Grandma, original owner, today. Super cheap deal, just fell in my lap. 1974 Eldorado with the 500ci engine. This thing is awesome. Really just something else to drive. I'm a hot rodder, coming from a line of Mustangs, a Lightning, stuff like that... This is a first for me, and I love the car. Just cruises on the highway so well, and that freaking engine...hot rodder porn.

@stig422 Yes, cus every owner of a '74 caddy want's to do donuts in an intersection. Back then these cars were expensive. The Rolls Royce of GM cars. Your dumb.
-
@taterpuff1974 I agree, but this car if made new would probably be to expensive to sell in mass quantities to make it profitable.

Lol at the"instrument panel"
-
yeah right fwd sucks ass, try doing a donut at an intersection with fwd and you will end up in the ditch
-
That may be true but, very few people like it. THAT is what is important. A good set of studded snow tires for winter driving makes the grippy but clumsy front drive seem irrelevant. I like the driving "feel" of a rear wheel drive car. It seems more and more people are agreeing.
-
RWD on these 8.0l boats was a form of natural selection in the snow states.
-
FWD sucks donkey nuts.
-
I have gone back to rear wheel drive-far more controllable in a skid, and less likely to wheel spin in wet or icy conditions.
-
I think people who talk trash about front wheel drive are hopelessly ignorant. Fwd is one of the most important automotive engineering advancements to come out of the auto industry.
If they only made cars like this......

It's weird, back then front-wheel-drive was a thing of the future. Now most people treat it as a huge mistake.
