;-) I get steamed over that too! the worst is going into an antique shop and finding a beautiful acoustic phonograph with a Decca platter sitting on the turntable. Even worse, seeing a Columbia or Sonora machine labeled "Victrola."

Dandy! Sounds a bit buzzy, as if the reproducer could use new gaskets...

Thanks for the comment. Actually, I just replaced the mica and gaskets.Sounds 100 times better than in the video! I should get around to making another actually.

This is, in my humble opinion, a great rendition. Really showcases the band here (Joseph Samuels' Music Masters).

Say Persiana Say, a nice tune written by Willy White. I listened to one version of the song from Arden and Ohman. I don't think White himself recorded this work, but this was a great song.

Sounds great with the origional gaskets! Of course using a new needle helps. Is there a small spring loaded ball that holds up the reproducer on sonoras? Where did you get this?

We had a Sonora ("Clear as a Bell") Radio huge thing - once upon a time it was my aunts......don't know if it was electric or battery........

so you're the second one I've seen with this model. It is so beautiful. Except yours is the crank, his is electric. Who needs the wiz bang toys they push, when these machines will work forever.

My favorites are those fabulous "Edison Victrola" models that always have a Columbia red label Sinatra on the platter, ready to play. You find the super-rare Bing Crosby White Christmas set in those.
