From Wikipedia: "Lavender Country was a Seattle-based country music band formed by Patrick Haggerty in 1972. The band released a self-titled full-length LP in 1973, which was published by Gay Community Social Services of Seattle. This album, considered the "earliest out gay country LP"[1], was archived into the Country Music Hall of Fame by former Journal of Country Music editor Chris Dickinson.[2]
