HP Laptop fan noise.

Noise from computer fan, sometimes it goes away.
Anyone kow if it's fixable. Roughly how much would it cost for someone to fix it.

unfortunalty you need to replace the fan. the bearing of the fan cpu or vga looks dead or nearly to die .

I just replaced my one ( qosmio x505 ) it was not easy only service could handled because fans are located deep in the gut of notebook. HP may have diffirent design ,you may only need to remove back cover

Is not only cleaning the fan, you need to lubricate it also, a couple of drops of lubricant and the will stop... it did with mine! :)

your pc just has dust in it. open it up where your fan is, and clean it up with compressed air

Sometimes a fan noise like yours can indicate that your fan(s) as well as their associated intake and exhaust ports need to be cleaned with compressed air. Check-out some of the other videos on YouTube about cleaning and maintaining your laptop.
