Beast Master Hunter DPS! - Level 85, ft. Cromar - TGN

We look at the spec and rotation for a Beast Master Hunter, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk.

Beast Mastery did very nice, beating all of the rogue specs on the dummy tests. I found that taking Kill Command out of the rotation caused no significant change in DPS, and made the rotation simpler.

Why would you take Kill Command out of the Rotation? As a Lvl.84 BM Hunter - my pet Crits for around 21k (granted, my tree looks quiet different)

Taking Kill Command out of a BM Hunters rotation is like taking Poisons from a Rogue.

Anyone who says all pets have the same base dps are fucking idiots.

I have tamed cats from stv, and tamed King Bangalash too, King Bangalash DOES do more base dps.

I have compared them myself, same abilities/talents/level. That said it is extremely hard to find a WoW DPS pet guide. All of them say that pets do the same base damage, and won't give the names of special pets that do more dps.

@rolfvdhulst no they cant if you try to call out an exotic pet with out the talent in BM it will say that its exotic and cant be summoned

I was just thinking, would it be possible for a hunter to first tame an exotic pet, then reset talents and spec in e.g. Survival and still be able to use the exotic pet?
