yes indeed. To accomplish this she ought to have three things: practice, her passion in tremolo particular, and of course the best guitar. She is one of the best I ever listened to with this piece. Wonderful!

wonderful..........

@eriobotrya Note that Yepes is using a 12 string guitar giving more brilliance, perhaps called harshness. ie: less mellow. These extra strings are tuned up an octave giving this extra "brilliance" samfifield81

@samfifield81 Only a dozen on YT? Really? I think you'll find there's a lot more than that. Xufei's is one of the better versions. The best tremolo technique is probably that of Narcisso Yepes, but I find his version lacks emotional depth, is slightly rushed, and a bit harsh because he plays most of it too close to the bridge.

It is important to play the chords (thumb notes) as steady as possible. This is what makes the piece flow. Please see my video for example.
Fei is a wonderful guitarist and in a few years may be the best.

She's got the smoothest tremolo I've heard any of the guitarists play, whether played fast or slow. When many of the professional guitar do tremolo, I can hear each "ami" distinctly, like a horse gallop. With Xuefei, you can't tell.

Of the dozen guitar Recuerdos on You Tube, she is superb. Tops in dynamics, expression, and massaged tempo. Yang has played Recuerdos on 3 sessions on You Tube at abut 2 or 3 year intervals. Each time you wonder how it could improve further.
