  • you should have cut the roots down to about 6 inches

  • @pdim1000 I've heard that, but It never seems to really matter. I've experimented both ways. I just cant tell the difference after a couple of years of growth now.

  • We tried that with 50 other vines we planted... But the main problem here is we have some thick clay in places, and augering, will create a potted effect when planting vines in it, ie the roots will not leave the area where the auger dug.

  • back breaking technic , better is to use a small Auger with that SM and PTO connection.
