Sorry, both those themes are from the You Only Live Twice soundtrack. The first is called Welcome to Japan, where Bond surfaces from the British submarine and onto the shores of Japan. The second is the Drop in the Ocean theme where Tiger's helicopter lifts the Spectre car by electro magnet and drops them in the sea of Japan.

Albert R. (Cubby) Broccoli was one of Hollywood's most successful producers. He and Harry Saltzman produced the first 9 Bond films and then he alone for another 7 before he handed the responsibility to his daughter and step-son in 1995. Broccoli also produced the children's classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in 1968.

YOLT has some good moments but it's one of my least favorites of Connery's Bonds. For one thing, Connery is clearly bored and just walks through the film (I can't blame him since Bond was basically just a set piece by this point). Also, Pleasance was a horrible choice for Blofeld. I guess Jan Werich would have been even worse but in any event, it's a shame that such a pivotal role was mishandled. Personally, I would have liked to see Christopher Lee as Blofeld.

It is always worth reflecting upon the effects of the ravages of time, and that these beautiful young nubile nymphs are now rapidly approaching their graves or their funeral pyre. By keeping these facts in mind it reminds us how precious and how fleeting life is and to not take things for granted.

How perceptive you are that everyone gets old. Im glad you pointed that one out to me when I had no idea. As a Bond fan I made the second point that though the character of Bond in film is 50 years old. The appeal of the character grows despite character flaws.

As for the young girls now in their seventies Shirley Bassey or Sophia Loren were both beautiful as young girls and still are despite both being over 70 years of age. It depends on what you view as beautiful or haggard.

Err you must have misunderstood the point which is that the beautiful Japanese girls in this film are now haggard old ladies...Of course, there are millions of beautiful Japanese girls today, but not the same ones, and in course of time they will become harrard old ladies too.
