who ever was in that video clearly is a bad scientist because he/she did not follow the lab safety rules (gloves, jewelery, etc....) :)

@spamalatte yeah, so i will ans yr questions now.
If carbonate ions are present the gas will produce a white precipitate in limewater
If carbonate ions are not present, Ca(OH)2 will remain colourless
Theres no need to measure the amount of precipitate unless this is a test for amount of precipitate
add about the same amount of water to the carbonate salt
one scoop of carbonate salt from the spatula?
it doesn't really matter what kind of cation salt isit, you just need a carbonate ion salt.

The test fails to say what the expected results are or provide any analysis of the results in hand. Are you going to measure the amount of precipitate? Also, the sample amount of water is not specified. What is the amount of "carbonate" on that spatula. I assume you're using sodium bicarbonate to add to the HCL solution.
In general, I would make a slower video with longer pauses for the descriptions at each step. The quality of the video could be improved by putting the camera on a tripod, too.
