A higher spiritual awareness of the biology of the brain & mind can significantly advance one towards Enlightenment and Zen. The science of biology says that the brain's thoughts are just the result of cells doing work, and teachings on spirituality talk about having a silent mind of Zen. Biology + Buddhism = Enlightenment. http://www.thetruthsoflife.com

@typicalgemini It is my understanding that we are all 3. I am a big fan of zen ideas, but consciousness is not detached from thinking and doing. It's like a trinity, consciousness affects thinking and doing, thinking affects doing and consciousness, and doing affects the other two as well. We can change all of this with the correct practice

"Words, verbalization, thoughts, thinking, and emotionalism are completely automatic." is completely false and obviously so. Of these, thinking is the most difficult but can all be controlled. Obviously we can not use words, words have not always been around. Likewise for other things. Stopping the brain from thinking entirely may be impossible or at least unhealthy but the babbling can stop. Why do I watch these videos anyway?

We are not the thinker/ doer? What if we are living consciously ? Sure the brain might run on its own but are nt we also the programmer behind it when we are conscious? If i,m not identified with my thoughts cant i still have an opinion that originates from the source of my consciousness?? would love peoples thoughts

This is great and all but we have no idea how consciousness works biologically... so I find it odd that this video already claims to understand it
