this piece is too hard for you. you have a long ways to go. these comments stating that you own this piece are incorrect. you need to practice. you don't seem to have a strong talent for this instrument.

I find I did pretty well, it's a hard piece man. Don't say I'm not talented for the violin, I don't think you have the competence to say this.

As a violinist as well, I would say that you own this piece, and have done some serious work here. You performed it seemingly effortlessly. I once studied with a famous student of Heifetz who was fond of show pieces like this. It really demonstrates your technical skills. Congrats, and thanks again for sharing. I would not worry about some of the other comments suggesting you keep you fingers closer to fingerboard - can they perform 4th finger trill so elegantly?

A lot of the negative comments here seem to result from the poor recording quality. High notes sound shrill, even shrieking, but  those distortions are not related to the violinist's playing, unless , of course, the entire orchestra is shrieking on the high notes.

According to me Spohr one of the best composers ever. His work is both very romantic and light. Its marvelous. I´ve been playing this piece nowdays and must defend edoufant. It´s not easy at all. Edoufant, your performance is really well! I like it, and people talking it´s not so probably haven´t even touched violin in their whole life.
