Tales of Rebirth - Boss 26: Four Stars - Hard Mode

At long last, the final showdown against the Four Stars.
This is one of my favorite boss fights in ToR, and one of the most intense ones so far.
We were hoping to save Saleh for last, since he's so awesome.. but he ended up getting killed before we could finish Tohma.. oh well...

Enjoy the fight, we had fun doing it.

Did I mention Saleh is awesome? :P

@JadeDan20 It would be awesome to have an online one, I'd play it all the time. :P

They did actually have a Tales of MMO for a short time, called Tales of Eternia: Online, but apparently it didn't do too well and they closed it. Too bad, because I wanted to try it.

I would love to see them try another MMO, and I would also like to see online Co-op and Versus for the regular Tales games.

I don't get it. How do the characters throughout the game manage not to be 1 hit ko'd by HEAVY DAMAGE THAT SHOULD HAVE KILLED THEM. Something's not right. Care to explain, plz, Jeffrey?

@SPECIALKID1337 At which point in the fight? This fight had a lot going on in it, so I'm not sure I see where you're talking about.

It could just be Annie's healing circles that are keeping some of the characters alive.

@Jeffrey6978 no, at ANY fight, if they take heavy damage, it seems like they should have died but only have 1/4 or 1/2 of their hp meters reduced. and uh, what about the tiny numbers above the bigger numbers? I see them every time somebody takes damage, what's that?

@SPECIALKID1337 Hmm, I'm not sure, I haven't really noticed it.

The tiny numbers represent each individual hit, while the big numbers are the total damage from the whole combo.

Most of the Team Destiny games show damage in this way, as you'll notice there is no damage counter under the hits like in the Team Symphonia games, although Destiny 2 just showed the damage from the whole combo, and didn't show the individual hits.

I can't help but be focused on Tytree his greenness just screams out to me and I become tunnel visioned in on him @_@

I guess I must having been dreaming sense hilda was completely nude the whole time and there where so many jiggley pristess (sp)

There's already a couple games online that have combo-based action RPG elements like Lunia. It's not a Tales game, but the fighting style is similar (there's no guarding, the focus is more on learning to dodge the attacks and counterattack during openings), although the American server has been changed a while ago to make it MUCH easier. Bosses originally did not enter hitstun (a nice challenge), but now pretty much all but the final/super bosses can be hitstunned. Oh well.
