What size prop do you use? I just got done putting together a Dr 1 from Wattage. They recommend a 9x6 but I put a 9x7 on.

This plane has a 2408-21 1750KV brushless motor with a 8 x 3.8 APC prop on a 3 cell li-po battery. A GWS 8x4 prop works well on this motor also.
The prop you use will depend on what motor you mount it on and what your battery voltage is.

if you really wanted the plane yo look lik manfred's (i.e. red baron) the nose needs to be red, his entire quadron had red noses

Thanks. You are probably right. Since there are no original DR1s in existence all the ones currently flying today are replicas, including my little one, and may or may not be accurately colored.

The upper wingspan on this model is 27" and the full size version is 38"

This model was built from plans available on rcgroups. Go to the foamies (scratchbuilt) section and do a search for "Fokker DR1". This model is the 70% size. I have also built the full size one. You can see it in another of my videos titled "Meet The Fokkers".
