Well FoxNews will never have her on again. They sure hate when people call them out on their hypocrisy. "why can't wind survive without subsidies" ... she should say "why can't coal survive without 7 times the subsidies wind is getting!". Fox is so full of hypocrisy.

Like any young developing industry, if given the funding and opportunity to grow, green energy technologies like wind will eventually contribute more than 2%. What people dont understand is that green energy sources are based on efficiency, which means that not only is the designer looking for more efficient ways in which to produce the power, the users must also become more efficient in their use of that power. It's clear that the wasteful american lifestyle has to end.

do u like the wind energy???? Solyndra...... sounds like u guys lost, ......where did all of the money went?.......idiots

I definitely support wind energy, But I think Denise Bode neglected to consider that Wind Energy is itself subsidized by the fossil fuel industry, because you need cheap coal, oil and gas to manufacture, run and maintain much of the wind infrastructure and keep it "cost competitive." The same applies to solar energy. It's a sad conclusion, but I doubt that wind and solar will ever exceed 5-10% of energy generation, and even this would be a gargantuan undertaking.

FIX Unnews at work again trying to support their right wing repuglican base.

The greenhouse effect was discovered in 1824, proven in 1859 and quantified in 1896. Anthropogenic global warming is probably the most thoroughly peer reviewed scientific theory in history. Over 10,000 papers, most of which had already been peer reviewed, went through four more levels of review by 2500 climate scientists at the IPCC. There were over 90,000 comments. AR4 released in 2007, would be mostly science from 2005 and earlier. There is now six more years of confirming research.

A recent poll shows that 82% of Americans support the EPA and 73% support the EPA restricting greenhouse gas emissions.
The Bush administration had a petroleum institute lawyer (Cooney) edit the federal climate study to water it down. This same lawyer was involved with the censoring of climate scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies. This included trying to stop climatologist James Hansen from reporting on 2005 global avg temps, which were among the warmest on record.

In May 2010, 255 members of the National Academy of Science, including 11 Nobel Prize winners, issued an op ed article which stated in no uncertain terms that the science is valid, the dangers are real and immediate action is necessary to avert the worst of climate change.
But for Republicans, there is no global warming.

Yah gotta love Senator Inhofe. After six investigations cleared all scientists and the East Anglia research facility of any wrong doing, Inhofe demanded another investigation. It came to the exact same conclusions as the other six. Yet, Inhofe, Barton, Upton and others are still conducting a witch hunt against climate scientists. What's going on in Congress is an anti science circus. Remember the Scopes Monkey trial? about the same

"The scientific basis for the Greenhouse Effect and the potential impact of human emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2 on climate is well established and cannot be denied."
That's from the fossil fuel industry's own panel of 'experts' - the Global Climate Coalition
When confronted with this frank assessment, the leadership of the Global Climate Coalition did the only reasonable thing: drop the offending passages and expunge the report’s existence from the public record
Wow, Denise Bode displayed some incredible poise and friendliness.

More proof that Fox News is filled with half-brained twits who are invested in peddling the agendas of oil companies (amongst other reigning industries) and disgusting corporatist/anti-science right-wing dogma.
