  • sorry but i have a question. What has this song to do with the Armenian church??????

  • The video was recorded at the Armenian church picnic. All the musicians in this video are Armenian. Sorry don't have time to explain to you why Armenians sing Greek songs. All I can say is there are large Armenian communties in Greece and Cyprus. Here in the USA Greeks attend Armenian picnics and Armenians attend Greek picnics. I was told buy a well know Pontic Greek musican that Armenians and Greeks are brothers and sisters.

  • greetings from Greek orthodox brothers!!!!

  • Haydee, yandan :) Bilezikjian comes form "bilezikçi" in Turkish. "Bilezik" means bracelet, "çi" (chi) suffix means maker like "er" in English. Most of the Anatolian Armenians are very skilled craftsmen, especially luthiers, jewelers, goldsmiths, silversmiths. Anyone heard of "Telkari" ? Thus surname and song depicts origins :) Tx for a marvellous performance.

  • lmaooo haykakan dzvi davayyyyyyy

  • HOW NICE!! he sings in Greek!!..this song talks about a love between a turkish guy and a greek girl..he asked her to dance for him a turkish tsifteteli..greetings and love from ELLADA..OPA :) :) :)..

  • How about live on peace and love each other?

  • We must not forget the Ottoman Empire's plan was to wipe all of Christian minorities in the Empire...the Armenians, Pontic Greeks, Asia Minor Greeks, and Assyrians.

Read the book "Not Even My Name" by Thea Halo a first hand account of the Pontic Genocide.

  • This song, "Siko Horepse" is "Kalenin Bedenleri" in Turkish. I defy anyone to prove whether the song was originally Greek or Turkish. The fact that the lyrics say, "Get up and dance [the]...Turkish Ciftetelli" proves how close Greek and Turkish cultures are. As far as Armenians and Greeks, they are fellow Orthodox Christians who lived as minorities in the Ottoman Empire. The only good reason at this point for Armenians to dispise Turks is that the majority deny the Armenian Genocide.

  • The words of this Greek song, a Turkish version of which is equally popular in Turkey, say to "dance the 'Turkish Cifeteli'," thus highlighting the similarity between those two cultures! This song has also been recorded many times in Hebrew in Israel.

  • WRONG-Siko Horepse Koukli Mou is Greek lyrics and Greek Music.

If your grandparents homes, property, were stolen from them by the turks and then thrown in the desert to die, you to would despise the turks. Get it.
