Hmmm, this shouldn't really be called a paths tutorial, since it uses quite a few tools...anyway:

Part two of the Vector Art series.

This tutorial takes the basics of paths as a drawing tool from the previous tutorial, and looks at colouring in and a few nifty selection tool tricks.

Shortcut keys:
b = paths tool
m = move tool
shift+click handles = symetrical handle manipulation
ctrl+click on end anchor = join paths
ctrl+click (on the line)= create new anchor mid-line
shift+ctrl+click on anchor = delete anchor
ctrl+m = merge all visible layers

  • I used to use Camstudio, but now I use Blueberry FlashBack Recorder Pro, which allows zooming.

  • lol 150% is quite far? You've never rendered an image before....try getting in at near 800%

  • @Aurelius6299 I don't really understand your sarcasm, but you're probably making a valid point. Would you care to clarify it a little more? I'm no expert and would appreciate your constructive feedback.

  • Beautiful, Leathery... Crooked? Can we touch... the subject? Absolutely not, no touching the sneakers!

  • @Iewkas I have no idea what you just said, but it was beautiful.

  • @Iewkas

    That was a commercial!

  • @Aurelius6299 if you don't like it so much then why are you watching it? That's not very well thought out, it's a really good video if you ask me, and I love British accents ;D

  • Whenever i try coloring or using the gradient fill tool inside the lines after using the fuzzy select tool, there's a thin white line between the lines and color... can someone help me???

  • How do you save these as vectors?

  • Love your vids, the calm approach, the amusing language. Like I said on the other one, I hate the idea of the slow drawing of vectors, but I'm going to follow all your tutorials anyway. Theyr'e really nicely done.

  • @xOptimisticCynicx I agree. It would be much easier and less time consuming to use that.

  • I feel like the beginning is unneccessary. If you select the white background, invert the selection, use the selection To Path tool, and you should get the path you created rather easilly. Then just stroke that path.

  • Like so many others have said, these tutorials are very easy to follow. You are a natural teacher so thank you for these videos.

  • @malgalin He's talking about a shoe commercial

  • i love you
