Across was the infamous Ibrahimeya police station totally destroyed, sacked and almost non-existent!!! No signs whatsoever there was ever a police station there. There are officially 29 police stations in Alexandria. All but one (the one in Kafr Abdu were all foreign expats, diplomats and high class of Alex live) put in that same condition. I couldn't get closer because I was rushing home to get some stuff and try to go back stay with friends before the curfew, which was in those days 3pm.
