GTA IV Bullet/Damage/Explosion Proof car tutorial.

How to make any car bullet/damage(car won't stop running)/explosion proof.

Its real simple, why this hasn't been found out until now is beyond me.

Step 1: Choose the car you wish to "proof"

Step 2: Go on a date (preferably a story mode date like Kate so you won't lose a perk).

Step 3: Pick her up.

Step 4: Scare her (attempt to fire a weapon while IN THE CAR).

CONGRATULATIONS!! YOUR CAR IS OFFICIALLY PROOFED!! SERIOUSLY!!

On the video, I jacked a car on the street to show you that I chose a "random" car and the effect came after I scared her.

Also note, I retried it with Kate and it does in-fact work, so try to do it with Kate so you won't lose any special perks.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

-Works for both 360 and PS3 versions.

-The car is bullet proof (windows and tires cannot be shot out) as well as explosion proof but your windows still can break from collisions.

-Tires are bullet proof but still can burn off from, let's say driving through fire.

-Although the car becomes visibly damaged (as you see in the vid the door came off because I left it open before the explosion), it does not register the damage to the vehicle (it won't break down or explode over time).

-Car can be Pay N Sprayed.

-You can only have 2 proofed cars saved at a time (as far as my experience goes). Try to make a 3rd car and one of them will disappear.

-Involving your proofed car in a cinema cut-scene has a very high chance of losing the proof effect.

-Brucie's unique Orange Infernus does not seem to retain the effect. Once you save the game, it goes back to being a regular Infernus. Other special vehicles might be this was as well.
