P1, Hyde Park Speakers Corner - London Gaza Protest 10 Jan 2009

*Part 1* - Everybody gathering at Hyde Park on Speakers Corner for a mass demonstration towards the Israeli Embassy.

Over 100000+ people had turned out today making it one of the biggest demonstrations held to date. People from across the UK had turned out to support Palestine in London today. Prominent figures such as MP's, Singers, Muslims, Non-Muslims, Jews, artists, university students, teachers and everybody else had come out together today. People had braved the awful weather, it was awfully breezy with icey conditions.

Later the demonstration was concluding with a talk near the Israeli Embassy in London.

I dont give a shit how high and mighty you think you are.... If your a communist or socialist or whatever it may be, wonderful. But to be very frank, bringing politics and economics into a wartime situation is just plain retarded. This dispute between Israel and Gaza is one based upon religion, which is the supreme force thats been shitting down all of our throats for thousands of years. OK, maybe you're not an ignorant moron - but communism isn't about repression, it's basically about taking the power from the rich and giving it to the poor, with no countries, and no economic classes. New Labour isn't communist because it doesn't want any of these things.

And communism isn't the denial of a higher power, I have many Muslim comrades. We believe that religion should not mix with government, that it's a truly personal choice. George Habash was Palestinian Christian and communist.

You obviously don't understand politics then... if fact if you had BOTHERED TO WATCH THE VIDEO the communist and socialist parties were there to help in our struggle against imperialism.

You should also know that the PFLP faction, which is larger than Hamas in the PLO, is a communist, Marxist-Leninist organisation started by a Christian.

@AhmadAmor This country needs a strong government which cannot be so easily corrupted and manipulated with money. A military government is exactly the opposite of what we need; Britain needs a strong, uncorrupted, moral government - and though the election/government system here makes that impossible military rule is a terrible way to go. Why do you think egypt is in the state it's in?!
