Atlantis, from Deas Vail's latest album, Birds And Cages.

You can check them out at http://myspace.com/deasvail

Lyrics:
Stuck in a world of water and glass -- of recycled air and years that have passed.
No one's going to find us here.
They don't know to look. To rescue is coming.
No one's going to find us here.
They don't know to look. To rescue is coming.
We took away to make our homes.
Now nothing remains from all of our hunger.
We gave into our need to own, so the tide in its rage has taken us under.

We are waiting to be found, at the bottom of the earth, and frequently we'll send a melody.
To the surface of the womb, where our hope of notice looms.
From the place for all humanity -- from the valley of the deep.

Death is a stranger with tricks up his sleeves that we'll always need but we'll never receive.
No one's going to find us here.
They don't know to look, no rescue is coming.
No one's going to find us here.
They don't know to look, no rescue is coming.

We are waiting to be found, at the bottom of the earth, and frequently we'll send a melody.
To the surface of the womb, where our hope of notice looms.
From the place for all humanity -- from the valley of the deep.

I wanna see those gardens where I used to pray.
Where I'd watch the sun come up and evening turned to day.
Light never seems to find this place.
This black is a permanent reminder that...
We are waiting to be found, at the bottom of the earth, and frequently we'll send a melody.
To the surface of the womb, where our hope of notice looms.
From the place for all humanity -- from the valley of the deep...

  • Hearing just a couple songs, I knew I had to buy this album. And I did. Got it a few days ago. <3

  • Ever since I first heard this song, I fell in love. <3

  • I am by no means religious but god damn this is some fantastic music

  • This song is perfect with RainyMood:)

  • @mamasedso Basically.

  • I think this song is a metaphor, being in Atlantis, a place where nobody knows about. Then when it comes to one person being in some sort of state of mind that is somewhat lonesome, a place that no one knows about, a place you dread being in, but since nobody knows its there no one will come and save you.

  • Every time I listen to this, it makes me think of Bioshock.

  • <3

  • this song at firsti thought was boring then i loved it now it kinda scares me if u pay attention it talks about being in atlantis like the place actually exists
