This model is my first attempt at building a branch line terminus. I have based this on the now demolished station at 'Monkton combe' which was used in the filming of The Titfield Thunderbolt. It is just a freelance effort and i just wanted to re create the atmosphere of a branch line in the late fifties. The layout measures 6ft by 18 inches.

  • For a first attempt at modelling a branchline you've done a really lovely job. I'm very impressed with what you achieved in such a small space. I hope my first layout I'm planning looks as good as this.

  • I always thought Titfield station from the film would make a super model and you have captured it well. Can you tell me what tank engine this is and is it commercially available?
