Biodata of Venerable Prof Medagama Nandawansa Thera

Ven Prof M. Nandawansa Thera is a Professor in Pali and Buddhist studies at University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Venerable has been the head department of Pali and Buddhist studies from 1998-2001, and Director, course unit coordinating office for faculty of humanities & social science from 2001-2008.

He is able to speak in 7 languages and an able translator of Buddhist texts and contributor to many Buddhist publications and conferences. Venerable has participated in several national and international seminars, conferences and has traveled quite extensively throughout Southeast Asia and Far Eastern countries, the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, etc.
