Andy's Grand Slam! 6 years old
Bottom of the fourth, bases loaded, and Slammin' Andy knocks the snot out of the ball. It's hard to see in this video, but it clears the left field fence by a good ten feet.
The rule in this 'Coach Pitch' league is that after a hit ball reaches the outfield, the runner has to stop once the defense has possession of the ball; Which is why no one could understand why the coach made Andy stop at 2nd because no fielder was going to hop the fence and grab the ball before Andy reached home.
Nonetheless, it bummed me out because I caught it all on video and it would have been fun to capture his 'Home Run Trot' with the 3 other players waiting for him at the plate.
...And I could've given it to ESPN 25 years from now to play after he breaks Barry Bonds' Single Season Home Run Record or during his Hall of Fame Induction speech.
Oh well...
Final Score: Royals 25 Mets 4
Slammin' Andy: 4-for-4 7 RBI's (9 if you count the runs that should have came home).
Royals Season Record: 7-0-2
