  • Con`t. 2 weeks later ,... I am absolutely serious . If you showed this to a Qualified practioner ,and told him it was from a special clan ,or lineage of Foshan ,or GuangZhou Wing Chun , they would believe you ! Comments ,or FeedBack would be very welcome . Best Wishes !

  • @sjander29 hey mate, yeah... maybe this is teh missing link between old wudangpai and old wing chun?? the point is, that the wc-principles r far different to our xuan wu pai (rare lineage of wudang pai). So even at mount wudang very very rarely to c propper Crane-Snake-Tui Shou. The most schools just "rolin" with their arms and dont know about the 8 Energies within the Routine and how the CRANE and SNAKE - Principle impresses those Energies... anyway...

  • ... anyway.... in old scriptures its not even CALLED "Tui Shou" but "SHE HE XIANG ZHENG"! (Game of Snake and Crane). So if u tell this to the Chen-ppl. they will disagree with this story too :) cause they claim that all about TAI CHI comes from CHEN :) so... the xuan wu lineage of wudang pai is even at mount wudang very rare thing... and maybe a hand full ppl r teaching the SNAKE-CRANE-GAME connected to the 8 Energies wich CHEN NEVER heard about :)

  • @youlihan - Con`t.,...Being inspired by the Fighting of a Snake and a Crane . This was in a Taoist Temple -"White Crane" ,during a time of great co-operation between Buddhism and Taoism . We even call our "Chi Sao" -"Snake in Clouds ."Anyway , intriging stuff to me . Thank you again for answering , and thank you for regularly sharing superb Martial Arts with the World!

  • @youlihan - Thank you for replying -Fascinating!Especially the " 8-Energies " . I`d understood from the 1st posting that this " Game of Snake & Crane " was ancient ,and pre-dated "Tui Shou ".It`s true ,I don`t know "Wu Dang" Principles ,per say , aside from 'Chen" and "Yang" Styles of Tai Chi ,but I do know Foshan Wing Chun`s - 34 years . As I said before , we have the Oral History of W.C. being developed by Ng Mui , while staying a a " White Crane " Taoist Temple ;and , being inspired -Con`t.

  • Wonderful - Wu Dang Tui Shiou Game of Snake and Crane !

In the venerable , Oral Traditions of Fatshan/Foshan Wing Chun -Yuen Chai Wan / Yiu Choi Lineages, that teach that Ng Mui took refuge in White Crane Temple ( a Taoist Temple) located on Mt Fatshan/Foshan. Here I believe is proof of the Taoist Connection mentioned in our( the above mentioned Clans /Lineages )Oral Traditions ! Thank you so much for sharing this .
