  • Thanks for the comment. Another paddler identified it as a a King Island Kayak, from the Bering Straits area of Alaska.

    I guess I'll have to have a closer look at Tappely.

  • King Island Kayaks have a double bow similar to the Aleutian Island Baidarkas.

  • Problem! Thats not an Umiak. It's a Bearing Straights Kayak.
