Starting a classic 1.9 xud engined peugeot turbodiesel - clatter sounds great. These hardy engines often live for over 1/2 million miles.

Forget that unreliable, overpriced "common-rail" junk.

  • Love that clatter. If the clatter ain't nice and loud, it ain't really a diesel, even if it runs on it.

My kind of diesels are nice and loud to where you can hear the clatter a mile away.

  • These are excellent engines & one that you can fix yourself without having it plugged into a computer at the dealers.

Long live god old fashioned reliable mechanical injection...much better than all the new electronically controlled rubbish.

  • agree. even though I was just like ten years when cr diesels started to conquer the sales.. if it was like in 2004 or something. why was everything at the best when I was born and I can't remember shit of these days :( once I turned a little sad when I was walking around a municipal field where misparked cars end (say, the graveyard of deserted cars) and it was like a museum of the cars in use in about 2000. maybe it's actually heaven, and after my death I'm given a key to all the cars there :S

  • your engine will not live for over 1/2 million miles if you do things like that.

  • hell yeah to that Patriot1776!

  • moteur froid ou chaud...?

    la est la question...!

  • excellent just what I wanted 5 stars

  • PEUGEOT/CITROEN DIESEL POWER 4 EVA!

  • I drove this engine in a Citroen BX a long time ago. It ate all the contemporary TDIs for breakfast. :)

  • Sounds great ? LOL.
