John Dowland: Frog Galliard
I opened the door this afternoon and found this frog sitting staring at me. I asked it to stay still till I get my camera so he could be a very special frog. I think it looks cool. I played this jolly galliard last week at a competition - twice, as I was asked to play it also at the winners' concert :-)

  • Wow, the best interpretation on youtube of this beautiful song played by the yougest one. My congratulations. I beg you, never stop practising, because I'm sure one day you'll become a great guitar master ;)

  • @guitarmoon37 Thank you for your kind comment, you have some great Dowland versions at your channel, so the more I apreciate your attention. I'm also interested in maths and electricity so I'm not sure what kind of master I should be but I am practising the guitar because I like playing music... Greetings,

    Gergely

  • Bravo! R u sure u'r not Korean kid?

    ;-)))

  • @nandiji Well, I know I can't get far like this... My parents don't let me spend more than an hour a day sitting by my guitar, I have to go to play and do some sports... :))

  • I love this piece and you played it great!!!

  • @lalodiaz Thank you Lalo, I'm very glad you like my playing. Greetings,

    Gergely

  • Well done that was fab :)

  • Dear Gergely, first of all congratulations for this lovely interpretation of this lovely and hard master piece by the great John Dowland.

I liked very much your right hand fingering, very close to the lute fingering (thumb: rest stroke. i,m: free stroke. Also all the fast passages play with p,i,p,i,p...and always down beats with p or m and up beats with i and a ). You can try it if you'd like it sounds lovely and historicly correct. Have a nice day and take care.Best wishes, Haim :)

  • Gergley, you are brilliant. You have the making of a great guitarist and a great musician. Keep up the learning and you will go on to do great things. Cheers from Israel.

  • May I join your master class...please? :-))
