SeaChange ~ Epidode 1, Part 6 (including theme song)

It was like bidding farewell to cherished friends. When the sun finally set over Pearl Bay on a Sunday night, the ABC sent off its most successful series ever, and a couple of million Australians said goodbye to a community of characters that has carved an indelible place in the national psyche.

Episode 1: Something Rich and Strange

In just 24 hours, corporate lawyer Laura Gibson's life is decimated. She is passed up for partnership, her son is expelled and she almost kills the family cat before discovering her husband has been arrested for fraud, squandering their life savings in the process...not to mention sleeping with her sister. Desperate to escape her life, Laura accepts a job as magistrate of a small coastal town she has fond - ten year old - memories of. Packing her kids in the station wagon, Laura heads to Pearl Bay only to find a half collapsed connecting bridge and laconic local, Diver Dan. On belated arrival, Laura discovers the solitude beach house she bought based on memory is now a dilapidated shack in the middle of a caravan park. Yet, staring out across the spectacular view from her new home, Laura decides maybe Pearl Bay is worth a chance.

The end song is just called SeaChange - it was written for the show and is performed by Wendy Morrison and Richard Pleasance. :)

I loved the first 6 episodes of this....just when it started to get really good when they moved to the seaside! According to IMDB there are 39 episodes. Anybody know where to find them?

Watching this show was a little holiday every week you could look forward to. To think this gave away to reality shows. Where did it all go wrong. Does anyone have the fictional muso's tunes that Sargeant Gray played in the lock up? They were actually Richard Pleasance's work and I haven't heard them since the show.
