You can get the Dvd here.

  • @starknight97 issue, but data transfer (even at 70% light speed) and the action of the launcher are. You got the issue this time, a couple of ms just isn't enough.

Have you even looked at a railgun schema ? Several objects on the rails divides the propelling force between each. Supercapacitors are cheaper now and are used in the capacitor banks. Yet, they can only charge up every 20 seconds... While on earth, with a huge genrator behind. And the aiming problem remains.

  • @starknight97 Besides, the heat plastic you mentioned is like graphite, it is refractory. It resists extreme heat but cannot store it (vaporises instead), so it cannot be a heat sink. The size of radiators is limited by structural constraints. What satellites had in the 80's is the maximum.

Range isn't the radars' problem, they can target and track way beyond the intercepting range. The only thing that's required is a longer ranged missile.

Processing speed isn't much of an...

  • @starknight97 when intercepting is maneuverability. Launching blindly would mean that the missiles don't accelerate on a perfect interception course, and that reduces their hit probability to... Not much.

Heat sinks are not radiators, and the most effective material for them is ice. That's because a heat sink cannot cool something that's much hotter than itself, even with a heat pump. So you may have a material that resists 1000°, if your laser is rated for 50, that's the limit.

  • @starknight97 The decoys don't burn up, they either float as a trail behind the warheads or hang under balloons. Anyway, they only reduce the hit probability of the interceptor when it is able to sucessfully reach the warheads. That's irrelevant to what we're discussing, that is the reaction time of the anti-missile systems, not their hit probability.

You can't lauch before having a lock. Even though the missiles could and are indeed guided during flight, their main issue...

  • @hudson3690 for giving you a base.

As for Europe, we paid for the supplies that enabled us to stop Hitler. As FDR said when he proposed lend lease, "we don;t want our best customer to go under". He also said that the best defense of the US is to back Britain, so another example where, had it not been for another country, you couldn't have done anything. So just drop the attitude . you have the warm personal charm of a millipede.

  • @hudson3690 ..like a lot of Americans, you just can't take criticism, Hirohito mustn't split up Asia, the US had that in mind didn't they. Couldn't have Japans navy getting too big. (read up on the London conference 1935) And the Australian continent only figured in Japan's plans after Pearl, thanks to US and Brit commonwealth becoming allies.

I am old and have been listening to Americans going on like you since I was a kid in the 40s. You should be thanking Australia......

  • @hudson3690 Well, If it wasn't for American embargoes against Japan, the Pacific war wouldn't have started. But , US had to start laying down the law about what you would and wouldn't allow and Japan bit you. I'm not bitter, why should I be. But you go on about how lucky Australia was and should be thankfull to the US. I merely point out that Australia was the land that , basically, saved your efforts from going down the pan and all I get from you is vitreol. Tut tut I see that....

  • @SuperAncientmariner

Judging from your posts, your obviously a bitter old man. I don't need to argue my point, it is a fact. If it weren't for America, Hitler and Hirohito would have split up the European, Asian, and Australian continents like a Monopoly board and if you don't know that, then you are ignorant. So on behalf of America.... YOU ARE WELCOME.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT A CONTINENT IS?

Sorry I'm trying to go slow for you. (Monopoly is a board game.)

  • @addyliveshere

Really? Are we currently controlling Kuwait? Are we out of Iraq? We move in, do what needs to be done because the world is full of cowards like you who are too scared to take action.

  • @OldDirtyRatbastard true their just is no sensors for the range need minus maybe humble it's self. this is true yet you can have more then 1 object after the other in the rail before it the charge is gone. Now think of a bb gun with 10 to 20 bb's in it.You also can have Super capacitors sets one for each charge. depending on the rate of recharge could determine the number set you need after in space size is not that big of a deal as weight getting it up there.
