Report by war correspondent Ed Lingao while embedded with the 5th Marine Battallion, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol.

No armed unit was authorized to enter this area and so when armed men were spotted, they were suspected to be members of the Abu Sayaff. They tried to surround the suspects but were spotted in the process and so a firefight ensued.

One suspect was killed, 2 more escaped. They were later found in a hospital and claimed they are members of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU)which are civilian volunteers fighting for the government.

  • filipino soldiers are better than american soldiesr, american are depending only in their technologies but in the grount to ground battle they are nothing. filipino soldiers doesnt need to learn tactics from americans, american need to learn from filipino soldiers bec they are well train to fight in a battle like in mindanao.... do your best filipino soldiers bec you are the best fighters.

  • The philippine military should change its uniform. Its too dark. It should copy the color of the jungle vegetation. Phlippine troops can be easily spotted because their camouflage is darker than the surrounding vegetation. The best camouflage are those that blend, not those that stand out.

  • @10231277 are you blind? they are green you retarted. buy a new glasses man.

  • i agree with you that the marines are the best in jungle warfare..and that we are better soldierS compare to the US army. and that we shoul change our government leaders to a non corupt..ive serve with the marines in sulu MBLT2..but the most important thing to us is the new technolgy, new weapons!!! imagine what we can do if we have the best of both worldS!!! my M16 is 20yrs older than me. im 23 btw..we need change!

  • @10231277 very well said!!!!!!!!!!! we don't need advance weaponry...all we need is changes in our government specially in our ranks...we police officers and our fellow soldiers in the field our dying because of we don't have enough ammo.and it really hurts when we killed by a bullet of our enemy that is intended for us to use to neutralize them...

  • TO THE PHILIPPINE LAW MAKERS - Pass a law that would protect the dignity of the rank and file of the AFP. The AFP Enlisted can be dismissed from the service unjustly through the recommendation of their Commanding Officer only. The PNP has their NAPOLCOM, the Government Employee has their Civil Service Commision. What about the AFP Enlisted There is no law that protect them.

  • media fuckn hardcore!!!!!

  • @mickypure Yes

  • @boipinoi604 You mean unconvetional guerilla warfare against a 1st world army of today?... like in maguindanao we will get crushed under their technological advantage.

  • @10231277 Sorry to say this, but their technology will smoke our ass... Unless we fight them jungle style like what the vietnamese did then maybe..
