  • Glad to see people trying to do kit reviews on video. However, you probably want to know more about the subject your building first. I'm commenting because you put the cylinder head on backwards. You must not be a car guy or those directions are really that bad. For the engine half alignment cut the locator tabs off an manually line them up yourself. AMT got taken over by Round2 models, but they got the original molds so the issue isn't so much quality as it is the colored plastic they use.

  • @ScottH454 I was not familiar with how the engine looks, plus the instructions are poor. I haven't been able to do much more because I ran out of black hand paint and I don't have anywhere yet to spray paint what needs to be painted black yet.

  • Oh shit AMT! They are on the lower end of the car model scene but no were near as bad as my last project. A little squadron will fix that with little issue. Next time try tamiya as they are close to Bandai but for cars.

  • @mokanaman Its the one I picked out from a local hobby store, I don't remember seeing tamiya items there, or kotobukia, I was after a kit, last time I touch an AMT

  • I am going to use gundam marker, tamiya spray cans, and some tamiya paint

  • Very nice review, in my opinion the AMT 1966 Chevy Nova is actually one of their better kits. I do agree with you in that it does not compare to the quality of Bandai, but it is a very nice kit with alot of detail.

    Peace

  • american brand model kits tend to be a poorer quality than japanese ones. i prefer tamiya so far, but hope to try out other companies like aoshima
