  • Well ..... I am happy to report that I am very satisfied with my new CDs. Stocky turns out to be as important as Mozart and Stravinsky to me. Also , there is a tymbral and harmonic depth that I can't seem to find in most recent contemporary composers.

  • hello, "FenderRhodesService" ...

  • I think Stockhausen was extremely punktlich when it concerned sound.

There , I made my point.

I am not ashamed about it but wonder why I keep on typing............... ..... ..... . . .

  • Although this version is very nicely recorded , in the hands of magician Peter , the original is already astounding in sound quality . I heard trhe original through B&W Diamond 804's , and it is almost to good in quality en spacing of sound (no noise also). I think the background of Stocky's quality time in Koln recording studio is showing.

  • According to the highly entertaining an insightfull book of Jonathan Cott on Stockhausen ( bought for just €10 at the Verlag) Stockhausen actually started out accompanying a magician and playing jazz in bars. I guess he was looking for something new , and I think Webern was something he aturally grew up with , which music seems to be a little bit dated to me when I listen to Formel Punkte Gruppen Carre and allt the other great stuff. Listening to this music doesnt exclude other music to enjoy...

  • Ok, now I Know who is behind Frank Zappa's music, after Stravinsky, Stockhausen. I prefer playing I'm the slime. Did Stockausen ever sing a simple song like "my favourite things?"

  • @MrRaph87 Sorry , I don't speak french very well . I was just trying to be funny with a wordgame. This piece that you uploaded (Punkte) is actually my favourite Stockhausen piece , it sounds very rich to me. Don't worry , I like it very much....so much that I recently ordered 8 cd's at the Stockhausen foundation , including this one and various other orchestral pieces (Trans/Gruppen/Inori/Ylem). The original versions of the mastertapes digitalised.

  • yes, and also Britney Spears IS called music

  • @jlipscomb
