I'm a former tracker user. So it's only fair that I find, and at least try to do something with them. This particular song, came with Impulse Tracker.

For those who do not know how powerful they are, they do a helluva better job, than most keyboards of today. As I'm used to such tools as this. Being a former Amiga a500 & a1000 user myself, using OctaMED.

Enjoy this nice piece of work. This alone, shows the power of trackers, and what they are fully capable of.

Here is the track to the music, in this video.

  • Impulse tracker made me a musician. I discovered it by accident when I was 11 years old. :)

  • I always hated impulse tracker due to its GUI, but still I love the format. Good song too.

  • @Acadianiste IT does allow for polyphonic effects in instrument settings, and this piece uses it to great effect.

  • @Herke83 i'm'83too, and the same, i found SoundTraker discs when i was sth about 13:)

  • Nostalgia <3

  • This reminds me of Chrono Cross.

  • using mouse is lame! ;)

  • this brings back memories! what a fantastic song, sounds like it could be in an rpg or something.

  • @Bp1033 Not really. This was IT running standalone. I did not use DosBox, as it was not required to run it.

  • Use DOSBOX set cpu cycles high and IT runs perfectly. I still track drums, strings, and pianos for my own recordings and compositions through IT, convert it to .wav with modplug player, import into cooledit pro, then record my guitars, bass, vocals, whatever. Almost like ghetto rigging music but it works wonderfully, and can compose almost studio quality stuff! Cheers.

  • Tell me, is schism tracker saving in IT format that is FULLY compatible with the original impulse tracker? thanks .

  • yeah, gives me a kick to see wonderfull songs running on dinosaur computer... Sombody should setup an old yellowed 386 computer with 4 megs of ram running a great song on Impulse tracker (filmed live).
