I love connor.
Just because he cant sing, doesnt mean that his music isnt poetry.

Have any of you "critics" ever been to a live concert of ANYONE? The reason the recordings are so good is because they do it 20 million times and can tweak it. When you sing live, you have to get it right the first time, and you have to sing all your songs consecutively. Plus it's even harder if you have a light trembly of voice like he does...it's very difficult to make your voice like that deliberately and still hit all the notes. This is actually quite amazing for a live performance.

Wow, conor is so amazing.
His lyrics, his voice, the music.
How can you say he sucks?!
He is BY FAR one of the best artists that I have ever heard that write some of the best lyrics I have ever read.
Conor Oberst is amazing.
You don't like him,
dont watch him.
The End :)

Yea, Amy Lee IS amazing.
But Conor is too. Just in his own way. His lyrics are genius and like tinnacious said it's an acquired taste. One I am very fond of, so please (everyone) stop bashing Conor. He's doing his own thing.
And I for one think it's incredible.

Alot of people suck at singing, he happens to be one of them.

its an acquired taste, dont be a closeminded idiot.
get some talent, write your own songs that sounds better than his, then maybe, MAYBE you'll have the permission to talk shit about him
do not fucking compare him to bob dylan

There wasn't a direct comparison to Bob Dylan made; merely an observation that not having a good voice in the traditional sense does not preclude one from being a successful musician.
