Love Song Requiem - Roxiri

358/2 Days Spoilers in the storyline below, incase you haven't played the game yet ._.

I've noticed this song is used quite a lot. But when I first heard it in a Cloud/Aerith video, I wanted to make my own video with the song and my OTP :D

Story:

Roxas has left the Organization after Xion's demise to find Sora. He decides to revisit some of the worlds he's been to, the first being Destiny Islands. When he arrives, he meets Kairi, who he briefly sees as Xion. They soon fall in love (yeah, I know xD). Meanwhile, Sora's memory restoration process has completely halted due to Roxas's absorbing Xion.

Basically, Sora's now useless without Roxas.

Roxas soon finds out Kairi's a Princess of Heart. He becomes concerned because he remembers hearing stories about how the those pure beings would have to sacrifice themselves to restore order if there ever was a serious crisis. But the stories said that would be a last resort, so Roxas thought nothing more of it. Kairi's "Princess" status also helps to hide Roxas, in a way, from DiZ, Riku, and the Organization.

Kairi, on the other hand, thinks otherwise. She feels she'll soon have to use her power. She then thinks about the future, which her Roxas could never have (getting married, starting a family). Then Kairi notices the stars, or the worlds, starting to fall out of the sky; and her feelings are confirmed.

Roxas notices Kairi hasn't been her usual self lately. He feels useless because he can't figure out how to help her. Roxas then begins to have nightmares that show him the future...without Kairi. He thinks their relationship will ruin both of their lives, and he feels like he's falling.

Kairi hears DiZ in her head telling her that time is running out. She decides to tell Roxas what's going on. She wakes him from his nightmare, and starts to tell him, but then stops. He patiently waits for her to continue, but she then runs away, unable to finish. As Kairi is thinking about what she should do, Roxas is trying to erase his past and find a way to help Kairi.

Kairi then confirms Roxas's worst fear. He asks her how she could even say such a thing, and Kairi tells him that this is real life. Kairi then turns away from the heartbroken Roxas to hide her own terrified face.

They try to make whatever time they have together special. After they share a kiss, DiZ comes to take Kairi. Kairi understands, but Roxas objects. She promises him that they will meet again as she is running into a dark portal. Roxas tells DiZ to let her go, but DiZ ignores him and Roxas screams.

Roxas jumps into a dark portal after Kairi. Kairi approaches another Princess of Heart and they all join hands, which causes a bright light. After the deed has been done, Kairi is on the ground, weak. Roxas is running as hard as he can to reach her, but he's too late. Kairi closes her eyes, but they never open again. Devastated, Roxas cries, knowing that this is all his fault.

Left with no other options, Roxas goes to find Sora so they can merge and become whole. Roxas is in Sora's heart, seeing nothing but darkness. However, he sees a light, and then he sees Kairi waving to him. He runs to her, and the two smile at each other. Kairi tells him that they'll always be together. Roxas agrees, knowing that she kept her promise.
Basically, they're together in Sora's heart because Roxas is Sora's nobody and Kairi will always have a place in Sora's heart. :D
