The really terrible sound coming from that ladys car wasnt because of the burst tyre. It was because the car was still in first gear. She didnt want to stop because the Cork v Kerry all-Ireland was about to start.

To my knowledge, I don't think I've ever even encountered one of those wack-jobs here in the states (Pittsburgh). Then again, I haven't been seeking them.

They are much less active in Ireland than they are in Pittsburgh afaik. We only have a mission whereas you lot have an org. But the answer to your question is yes, they are this pervasive. And how do you know you didnt encounter any of them? They go under a lot of different guises.
