Garuda Indonesia took delivery of the first of six Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen regional jets ordered by the aircraft's launch customer in the Asia-Pacific region. The Indonesian flag carrier is also to operate 12 additional CRJ1000 NextGen aircraft through its lease with Nordic Aviation Capital and holds options on 18 more aircraft of the same type.
Garuda Indonesia was represented at the handover ceremony, which was held at Bombardier's Mirabel, Québec facility, by Captain Agus Wahjudo, Executive Project Manager, Garuda Indonesia. Several Bombardier executives and employees were also in attendance.

    Amieen..akhirnya ada juga pesawat bagus nyang terbang di areah Sulawesi, NTT dan Papua. Selama ini gue naek Merpati, pakai pesawat yg buatan China itu..waduh gak nyaman..!Bravo Garuda!

    I am disappointed with the Executive class seats. Four abreast, really? Even Delta has three abreast on their CR9!
