Finally I've been to the most popular place on earth. Paris is like the most advertised and the most featured city in Films. Well, I can't blame them, it's really a beautiful place. I didn't have enough time to visit all of the places that one might find in a tourist guide, but hey Paris is big and I was there for a short time. We went to Paris by car, using the expressway at a speed of 90- 100 km/h (we drove an old Volswagen Trailer,), it took us more or less five hours from where I live. The ride was tiring (although I slept most of the time) but it's all worth it. We arrived there at noontime. It was not the best weather because there was a bit of wind and it was not actually pleasant especially when it's partly cold. I was just wearing a T-shirt and I felt cold whenever there was a hush of wind though the sun shone a bit. I'm already used to seeing old buildings so Paris made no difference in that sense yet there was something different about it. The roads are slightly wider and the buildings looked fresh despite the fact that they were old. I must say it looked clean in most parts. We've passed through a lot of beautiful buildings before we parked the car. Luckily we found a spot near the Eiffel Tower. The Tower was huge and it was magnificent with the blue sky as the backdrop. The chocolate like tower stands tall and spectacular. I must admit it's breath taking to see it in real life. We climbed the tower and beside from the annoying waiting time to get up and down, it was simply awesome. From the top of the tower you can see the whole of Paris. The panoramic view is really impressive. The streets seem to stretch out from the center like rivers branching out to the open see. The buildings look symmetrical from atop and the height was just perfect to recognize the churches, bridges and museums all over Paris. The Notre Damme, the Sacre Couer, The Arc de Triomphe are easily recognizable from the Tower. It was such an unbelievable experience being there!
