Today, House Republicans brought another bill (HR 1216) to the House floor that does not address jobs and wastes time in a futile attempt to repeal part of the Affordable Care Act. House Democrats are staging a "mini-filibuster" by "striking the last word" allowing them five minutes of time to discuss their strong opposition to the Republican-passed budget which ends Medicare as we know it and forces seniors to pay over $6,000 more a year.

@InCMPunkWeTrust That's not true. There was a short conversation on twitter with a 17 year old, but every major news source has found that conversation to be appropriate. You can not like Anthony Weiner, but get your facts straight.

@10106106 So when is David Vitter going to resign??? It can not be disputed that he was calling hookers from his desk on the House floor. He's a criminal who only avoided prosecution because the statute of limitations had run out. THAT is a fact that can't be disputed.

I really wish that Democrats had stuck by Rep. Weiner the way that the GOP stuck by David Vitter. Pressuring him to resign was what my grandmother used to call "cutting off your nose to spite your face." We only hurt ourselves by making someone this good leave.

I absolutely agree with ofpfury. We need more representatives like Rep. Weiner whom the Republicans got rid of sadly with the help of Democrats, because he is FOR the people. I don't care what Mr. Weiner does in his spare time, because in his working time, he is looking out for us seniors. God bless him. Sadly, he has a problem like so many of the Republicans who are still in government. He will get the help he needs. We Seniors need him back watching out for our best interests. MS
