my husband is stationed there, he told me about it before the news even knew about it. The cargo ship swerved to miss a smaller ship that crossed its course and was unable to get back on track in time to avois the wreck.

to make up for the reef they destroyed they should sink that ship as an artificicial reef and dive wreck

While this is bad, it's been shown reefs can sometimes grow faster after being damaged than they do while healthy, so hopefully it can fully recover.

I sincerely hope the captain of this ship gets the shite beaten out of him. And I guess the company will be fined....... The national park people should confiscate the cargo and get all profits
