Not NYC,LA Atlanta,Chi,Austin not even our white neighbors to the east;Nashville. The Funk,Blues,Rock and everything else is wicked down here baby! Elvis was a fuckin joke by real Memphis music standards. He shouldn't have even come out of this town!

I agree. Man, not knowing that James Alexander is a bass giant, a music legend, AND the only original member of the Bar-Kays (who thereby obviously played on *all* their records) is a bit.. shall we say.. ignorant? ;) But thanks for uploading the clip.

I just happened to do a search on "Larry Dodson" and this video came up. And it's been online for only 7 days?!! Wow, what a coincidence. I'm really glad you shared this, jumpbackjake. At first I didn't think you knew who you were talking to (James Alexander, bass, is one of the original Bar-Kays. He played bass on EVERYTHING done by them I believe.) But as I listened, it was obvious you guys know the music. Please post more like this.
