PICS!- http://www.flickr.com/photos/grahambrowne My take on a case mod. Old e-machines PC, 1/4'' acrylic sheet, RGB LEDs faded by a picaxe microcontroller, chassis made from metal tie down straps, all mounted on the wall. Uses less energy than a case PC and frees up a lot of space !

  • I really like this idea, it looks fantastic. It would be really good with some high end gear. Imagine what it would look like with an Asus rampage or the Gigabyte G1. Awesome dude. I might try to do this with my HTPC in my living room, but set it up so you can turn out all the LED's. Stay off the porn channels dude it will save your PC from virus's lol. Very impressive build.

  • @andymawbzee thanks bud! yeah the g1 would look amazing, Ive also considered spicing it up with a new cpu heatsink

  • Whats your code for the picaxe?

  • @HaloHamstur check out the picaxe forum and search for "rgb led fade" , thats where i grabbed it then simplified it a little.

  • does anyone notice that there is no power cable going to the PSU?

  • good eye! thats because I re routed the power cable to come out the other side for a clean look.

    thanks

  • @grizzam5000 if i may make a suggestion u should get a clear acrylic box and put it on the wall over ur pc to cover and put led's on teh box

  • great work!

  • made by you?

  • wow good job very creative I'll try to make one of this. but one stupid question

where is the button to turn the pc on ?

  • very nice .. gonna give it a try myself .. thanks :)

  • Really like the way you used long bolts to hold the plexiglass panels off the psu and mb.

It's "ghetto" and slick at the same time!

  • Dude, this is frikkin pro. Great job guy

  • 1:34 lmao

  • @andymawbzee Ya, or he could try running an OS that was developed sometime in the last half decade, that would work too for eliminating those viruses.

  • dope
