But you know, if you think about, that parasite's REALLY lucky to be squirming, all wet, in that girl's insides... I... think I'll stop talking now...
Plot-wise, this scene makes little sense. In the original story, the whole point of inserting the stomach worm into was to protect the developing fetus of Yukiko that Kato had magically impregnated her with (or so he thought). In the live-action version, Hirai forces the parasite to emerge through magic AFTER Kato had left her pregnant.
In the anime though, Kato hadn't impregnated her yet before this scene...so what was the point of stuffing the parasite inside her?
Oh hell yes, this series was fucked up Nightmare Fuel Unleaded! Creepy and disturbing as all hell! And utterly classic- I wish I could find a DVD collection of it.
