This MAN did NOT lie! He told the honest truth. Although horrific to those who have been brainwashed.

how are they forcing rappers to do anything? when rappers already are shown the negative side to it. are they being forced to live the life like so many do?

with the internet these days and as popular as rap is now, why even need a record company to at least to make a comfortable living at it. and for those rappers who spread a positive message, why do other rappers & blacks put them down for not being thug or whatever enough? i know it's not simple because all people make things complicated.

i understand what you are saying. but who keeps feeding this info to you. the media and non black people who are trying to prove something by being the hero and shoving this in your head what happened to blacks. neither one of us was there to really know. but are people going to push for the most negative? people like drama, look at all the reality show crybabies and talk shows. are you gonna let it get to you forever? teach your kids this? what for? how often do you all kinds of people remind.

I think yu'll find that a lot of rappers do get forced to either make gangster rap or some other bs by ther record companies.. Thts why most of the real lyricists and politically aware rappers like Immortal Technique, Lowkey, Logic (from the UK), Akala are all independent so their careers dont get dictated by greedy record company owners.

Obviously jus a few positive idols in the media wont instantly fix the problem, c'mon now you must know its not as simple as tht

Nah obviously each individual has the power to look inside and change themselves, we all got the power to get out of tht victim mentality. But what i find is tht a lot of people when talking on the subject dont understand how far slavery, mental slavery, colonialism and the destruction of African history/culture still affects us today. Its hard to properly tlk about the subject on youtube, but im jus tryna get yu to look at it from a different angle

these shows as well as many as others show a better way for blacks, the Jeffersons, fresh prince of bellaire, family matters, roots. practically every commercial on tv that has a token black. once you stop complaining and taking responsibility and making excuses and blaming everyone else but yourself then you will see a change. how many more years or decades are you gonna try getting away with BS that isn't working?

you should be aware by now i don't beat around the bush. i never said inherently or came close to insinuating that. only you did.

the media? come on. nobody forces gangsta rappers to make gangsta rap and nobody forces blacks to live by it, even if they just listen to it.

what black person does not know now how much that music helps influence blacks and all races minds.

the media makes all kinds of tv shows and movies that promotes a positive message to blacks. but what good does it do?

No im replying cause i have a problem with the way you put yur statement forward, yu made it sound like as if cus we're black we inherently mess around. I wont deny that ther are a lot of problems within the black community, but you gota look at the broader spectrum. Like how the media portrays us, how the music industry promotes violence as a way of life to the point now we think tht to be black is to be gangster which all contributes to mental slavery. An this is only scrapin the subject.

i have to assume you have never been to a multi racial school if you never claim to have been and act like black youth doesn't have issues in education for one reason i mentioned.

but if you say you have then okay. i never said only blacks sit in the back of the class to be cool. but how many do vs. ones that don't? especially inner city black kids. why are you replying? to pretend that most black kids don't have this problem.

I like how you assumed that i'd never been to multicultural school, why is that? do i sound to intelligent or something? Is it that i'm to intelligent to be black to you? Cause that's what it sounds like.

I dont feel inferior i jus think yur hilarious. Also i dnt feel sorry for myself, im gettin my grades im goin to uni, and imma be the firs in my family to go. And im black btw, ive gone to multicultural schools and schools where im pretty much the only black person in the class. Yeah it may be that in popular culture they promote sittin on the back of the bus as bein cool. But you associate that with race which just stupid
