@danceteam8 I agree completely. I don't think people can be disappointed by this in person because everyone is sensitive to central human emotions. Chaska keys into those raw, organic emotions that we all feel. Watching the video is watching a good dance with creative choreography and good execution, but watching it in person is an experience unlike any other. They make you feel along with them. You are not just watching a dance but experiencing their emotions, turmoil, and angst.

Is it Chaska High School, Minnesota? I was studying there en 1978, I hope so, best regard.

@hwebdance yea the section is going to be very tough. I am very excited and interested to see how everything shakes out

@edancestar Yes I know that Holy Angels beat them twice in kick, but never in jazz! And yes Chaska beat Holy Angels by a great margin in jazz. So I guess it is not a surprise Chaska made it so far in jazz.
I don't know why you think their kick would not have gone far in AAA just because Holy Angels beat them. AA kick is just as strong as AAA in my opinion and Holy Angels is one of the top AA teams. Your section is going to be tight next year!

@edancestar sorry i was thinking this was kick

@hwebdance i dont no where you get this information but i am on an AA team and we beat them 2. We were the only team that is AA in our conference. They beat us in jazz yes but not kick.
-
@edancestar Actaully no AA team beat this dance all season. Both times they had to compete this dance against any AA team (which was during conference), they beat them by 15 point per judge, which is a huge amount. I saw this the first time they did at Apple Valley and they were no sloppier than any other team at that point in the season. I give them props becasue this is a VERY hard kind of dance to clean, and by state they were very clean.

This section is gonna be so hard! 5 amazing teams with three slots. All 5 teams are good at both kick and jazz so it will be interesting to see how things shake out over the next season

This dance was REALLY sloppy the first time i saw it at conference! I think they did a good job cleaning up the dance for state but was kind of shocked they made it as far in AAA when they lost to teams in AA.....

It looks like SLP opted to move up to AAA. Looking at the MHSL web site their enrollment is at 1135. The MHSL used 1145 for AAA in both jazz and high kick for the next two years. Bemidgi moved up to AAA, too. Their enrollment is at 1145-The lowest amount for AAA :( You're right 1AA is stacked :( I feel badly for Rogers too, it's hard enough to move from one class to another and then to be stuck in 2AAA.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS. ALL THE GIRLS WORK HARD. HATE READING NEG COMMENT
It's really interesting to see what everyone has posted about this dance because I have gotten such mixed reviews. Does anybody have links to watch Chaska in the past few years? I will have to say the first time I saw this dance at the Best of the Best there was a lot of cleaning to be done with their limbs. I think they definitely did that for sections. .33 in the song though the arms see out of control. I would like to see Chaska clean up some of their transitions and bring it at state!
